PLASPRO's proprietary FlexiCore was presented at the International Society of Explosives Engineers (ISEE) 44th Annual Conference on Explosives and Blasting Technique in San Antonio, Texas which ran from 28 – 31 January 2018. The poly core is a primary input in Zimbabwe's mining processes for many of Zimbabwe's major mines.
This technology took 4 years to develop in collaboration with AEL, a leading explosives company in Southern Africa servicing Zimbabwe's major mines. The unique core minimizes the environmental impact of the blasting process by effectively limiting the extent of the blast, showcasing Zimbabwe's innovation and potential to have a game changing effect on blast mining practices internationally.
